Hm, čudno, ali Martina ja osobno ne poznajem, a ipak kao da ga poznajem dugo, dugo, godinama. Poznajem ga, u stvari, po njegovim umjetničkim djelima, fotografijama, i po njegovim osebujnim komentarima tih čudnih, iznenađujućih i vrlo dojmljivih za vječnost zabilježenih trenutaka. Volim fotografiju, želim naučiti fotografiju, želim znati fotografiju, a sve to mi ispunjavaju upravo Martinove fotografije.
Fascinira me to oko koje od tako običnih, do banalnosti jednostavnih stvari stvara umjetnost, oko koje prepoznaje trenutak koji jasno naglašava pokret, radnju koja slijedi, cijelu intrigantnu priču. Oko koje prepoznaje svjetlost u sjeni, koje prepoznaje trajnost u prolaznosti, smirenost u oluji, oko koje vidi nevidljivo i sve to nesebično bilježi na radost mnogih znalaca i zaljubljenika u fotografiju.
Veselim se svakoj novoj objavi jer svaki puta se iznenadim tom pomicanju granica dokle, što i kako oko vidi, a kamera bilježi. Svaki puta se iznenadim kako nešto – stvar, motiv, ruka, bljesak, panorama, dim, krilo ili oblak, nešto tako svakodnevno i tako sveprisutno, može izgledati Martinovim okom, s Martinovim fotoaparatom u Martinovoj ruci.
Eto, baš se veselim što sam imao priliku ovo napisati.
